053: Tips for Increasing Your Risk-Taking Comfort LevelJun 22, 2021
Embracing risk is an important part of developing your creative flow. Being comfortable with the unknown is an important skill and mindset we need to develop as entrepreneurs living a high flow lifestyle.
Risk stretches our creativity because it pushes us to think outside the box more in order to make the risk count. There are real stakes at hand, but there are also real rewards.
Risks also lead to growth, and if we aren’t growing, we are dying. As we grow, we learn to evaluate situations differently because each time we are building a larger body of experience to draw upon.

In order to start embracing risk a little more I have a few tips for you. The first one is:
1) Double Check Your Growth Mindset
Developing a growth mindset is the opposite of being a perfectionist. Perfectionists are too concerned with not making a move until they perceive the outcome as perfect. A Growth Mindset enjoys the journey and leaves room for accepting either a god or a bad outcome, because you know that either way it’s a learning experience.
2) Make a Pros and Cons List
- A) “What’s the worst that can happen?”
This list should really help you envision the scenario a little more clearly. I think you’ll find that in reality you aren’t dealing with a life and death situation.
- B) “What’s theBest-CaseScenario?”
This time look at all the pros of taking the risk. All of the new potential networks that you could build that could lead to even bigger and better opportunities.
I hope you keep remember and start practicing these tips for increasing your risk-taking comfort level. Soon enough you will be expanding your comfort zone and enjoying your growth.
Remember, the real magic happens outside of your comfort zone.
